Azita Ghanizada
Azita Ghanizada is one of the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in numerous TV shows. She was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents left for the US and were given asylum. She was raised by her sisters who resided and two sisters in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her TV career with a role in National Commercials. Ghanizada appeared as Chiara in the Laura Neri production A Kiss on the Nose (2003). In recognition of this performance, she received a nomination in the festival's Cannes Film Festival, for the Best Actress Award. Television guest-starring roles are How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells NuMB3RS bones Psych as well as Castle. She most recently had an supporting role in the science-fiction action movie Blood Shot (2009) and the comedy series by independent filmmakers You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada was cast in her role in the General Hospital spinoff General Hospital that was broadcast on prime-time TV. Season 2 of Night Shift featured Ghanizada portray Doctor.
